Locator 88 Skis

Armada’s Locator 88 touring skis are designed to make ascents easier while maintaining stability and responsiveness on the descent. Their 88 mm waist and lightweight Caruba core are aimed at experienced skiers looking for an efficient ski to explore the mountains.

Performance on the ascent and descent

• Less demanding ascents: the Caruba core reduces weight while retaining the power and vibration absorption needed for technical descents. The notch in the tail helps keep climbing skins centered and secure.
• Off-piste versatility: its rocker helps it float in fresh snow, while its camber provides good grip on firmer snow.
• Stability in big turns: the long turn radius suits skiers who like to pick up speed when the terrain allows. AR75 edges maintain stiffness and power transmission while keeping the tips and tails lightweight.
• More comfortable descents: a metal plate between two layers of rubber under the binding dampens vibrations transmitted to the boots for a smoother feel on uneven snow.
